Do I Need a Physician's Referral for Physical Therapy?

It is common for the majority of insurance companies to require that you receive a physician's referral for physical therapy. This referral needs to be brought with you to your first appointment. Medicare requires that the patient be seen every 30 days by their physician in order for their therapy to continue.
